Tebele Makhetha is an attorney, corporate affairs executive, speaker and author whose life and work are centred on faith, resilience, leadership and personal transformation.
Born in Lesotho and raised in South Africa, Tebele has built a distinguished career spanning law, public policy, stakeholder relations and executive leadership. She holds an LLB and a Master’s degree in Commercial Law. Throughout her career, she has served in senior leadership roles across both the public and private sectors, earning a reputation for strategic thinking, courageous leadership and purpose-driven impact. She is currently the Head of Corporate Affairs at Sappi Southern Africa.
Yet some of the most important lessons of her life were learned far from boardrooms and executive meetings. A breast cancer diagnosis forced Tebele to confront questions of mortality, faith, identity and purpose in ways she never anticipated. Alongside the realities of illness came the challenges of divorce, rebuilding, single motherhood and learning to navigate life when the future no longer looked the way she had imagined. Rather than allowing these experiences to define her, she chose to let them refine her.
Through her writing and speaking, she encourages women to choose faith over fear, purpose over pain and life over limitation.
